Easy Ways to Stay Healthy (Even if You’re Busy!) 

Making time for health and fitness isn’t always easy. In the middle of a busy life, it’s tough to find a spare moment in the day to get a workout in, or even to squeeze a serving of veggies into your diet. When we get busy, we go for what’s convenient. That’s why so many people end up eating excessive amounts of fast food and not creating time in their schedules for the gym. It’s hard to stay healthy! 

We’re here to help you find small ways to stay healthy, even if your calendar is packed. Prioritizing good health may not always be easy, but finding the time to invest in yourself will always be worth it.* 

Use your time wisely.

Okay, so maybe you don’t have 5 hours of your day to dedicate to hitting the gym. But that doesn’t mean you have to give up on physical activity altogether. You just have to get creative with the time that you do have. Here are some of our favorite ways to get your heart rate up, even if you on have 20 minutes to spare: 

  • Go for a quick run or walk. 
  • Do a 20-minute cardio circuit workout (this one is sure to get you sweating!). 
  • Go for a bike ride around your neighborhood. 
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator. 

Sure, this list isn’t full of insane, all-out, “I can’t believe I just accomplished that,” type of workouts. However, the examples we’ve shared will help you create an overall maintainable healthy lifestyle. When it comes to your fitness, something will always be better than nothing.  

Start meal prepping.

Meal prep is a total game-changer, and it ensures that you have plenty of healthy options to grab when you get hungry. Dedicate time on Sunday night to making sure you’ve got fresh, nutritious snacks or lunches ready to go for the week. Drink water.

We all need water, and we could all do a better job of making sure we drink enough of it. Research shows that a good rule is to drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water daily. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds, you would aim to drink 160 ounces of water. How are you going to hit that number? Here are some tips: 

  • Carry a water bottle with you everywhere (and we mean everywhere).
  • Make your water a little more fun to drink by adding strawberries, lemons, mint, or cucumber to it.
